The Waterlase is an advanced dental laser that uses a combination of laser energy and water to gently and precisely remove decay and treat soft tissue. The result is a dental experience that is dramatically more comfortable than traditional drilling — often without any anesthetic at all.
Dr. Virk uses the Biolase Waterlase system, which is one of the most advanced dental lasers available. It can be used for both hard tissue (teeth and bone) and soft tissue (gums) procedures.
The Waterlase combines laser energy with a fine mist of water. The laser energizes the water droplets, which then gently remove decay and tissue without the heat and vibration of a traditional drill. This means less trauma to the tooth and surrounding tissue.
